Donate Through Donor Advised Fund
It's easy to support Big Brothers Big Sisters by giving directly from your donor-advised fund. A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a streamlined giving tool that allows individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, or publicly-traded stock to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program, such as Fidelity Charitable. By making a donation in the form of stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other appreciated securities, you are making an investment in the future of children in your community.

If your equities are currently held at a bank or in a brokerage account, simply send a letter of instruction to your broker or banker with a full description of the securities and your gift's intended purpose. Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Fredericksburg established an endowed fund with The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region (www.cfrrr.org).
The fund's designated purpose is to help children in need reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. Donations may be made online at www.cfrrr.org.
