CELEBRATING SUCCESS: THE BIG DRAFT EVENT RECAP

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of The Big Draft event! The Sky Bar was the perfect venue with a stunning sunset over downtown Fredericksburg. A BIG thanks to their staff for their hospitality. This gathering was a testament to the power of community support.

At The Big Draft, we “drafted” at least four new potential mentors and raised funds to fuel our mission. The evening buzzed with lively conversations about mentorship, fueled by our friendly guest bartenders:  Heather Hagerman, James “Chip” Waldrop, Sally Cooney Anderson, Bill Carroll, and Jonathan Pittman. Their presence, coupled with the talents of musician Britton James, created a fun and inspiring atmosphere.

We're proud to highlight the engagement and enthusiasm of our attendees. Along with those who happened upon the event that night, attendees also included current and former BBBS Board Members, guest bartenders and their networks, current Bigs, former Bigs and Littles, BBBS Staff and their families, and beyond. Each interaction and contribution made a meaningful impact on our community.

As we reflect on the success of The Big Draft, we thank all of those involved for supporting our mission to ignite potential and empower youth through mentorship.
